I have written the following poem to go with this artwork. I hope it inspires love, understanding and compassion.

Angel of Love

“The days seem shorter every year
With less and less time for those we hold dear
Queues and chores and deadlines and stuff
Getting through each day can really be tough
But lose not sight of the most important thing
It can make a pauper feel like a king
It’s simple, yet complex, but costs not a cent
It’s warm and contagious and makes us content
It’s love that I speak of, for family and friends
For pets and for Nature, the list never ends
It’s what gives joy to our mechanical days
Spreading our love in a myriad of ways
But do not neglect your own dear heart
‘Tis where the love you show does start
So look in the mirror and say “I love you!”
And soon your heart will know that it’s true
Unconsciously you’ll spread that feeling to others
To friends, to parents, sisters and brothers
And in so doing you’ll help others see
That a heart filled with love can set your soul free.”
