Angel of Grief

“A loved one lost, a time to cry
We anguish at how time's gone by
And grieve we must to ease the pain
In order to feel joy again
But draw not out the pain too long
The sad loss of the one who’s gone
Time will mask the pain we feel
And joyful memories our heart will heal
For though in body they are no more
Their soul will forever new journeys explore
And should we miss their comforting touch
Or gentle voice at times too much
Open your heart for there they reside
Closer than ever, by your side
And there they'll be beside your heart
Till you join them and your journey does start.”
